Are you an organised, detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Eastern High is seeking a dedicated and proactive Examinations Officer to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth delivery of all internal and external examinations. Working under the guidance of the Information & Communications Manager and the Associate Assistant Head, you will take full responsibility for the administration, coordination and delivery of examinations in line with awarding body regulations and Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) requirements. This is a key role within the school, offering variety, responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact on students' success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer all aspects of internal and external examinations, from entries to results
  • Ensure full compliance with awarding body and JCQ regulations
  • Recruit, train and manage a team of Examination Invigilators
  • Liaise confidently and professionally with staff, students, parents and external organisations
  • Maintain accurate records and exam-related data in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively within the Data team to support wider school systems and processes
  • Strong administrative and IT skills with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, particularly during peak exam periods
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive, professional approach with the confidence to manage competing priorities
  • Commitment to upholding confidentiality, accuracy and integrity at all times
