We are seeking an experienced Plumbing and Gas professional to join the Apprenticeship Team as an Assessor. This role involves managing a caseload of apprentices, carrying out workplace visits, assessing practical competence in plumbing and domestic gas installation and maintenance, and providing one-to-one coaching through to End Point Assessment. You will work closely with employers to ensure apprentices develop the technical skills, knowledge and professional behaviours required by the industry.
The position is well suited to someone with solid site experience who is looking for a more structured, long-term role while remaining closely connected to the trade. It offers a permanent position within a supportive college environment and the opportunity to move into education without leaving the sector.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent), and/or CCN1 Core Domestic Gas Safety
- Minimum two years’ industry experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Previous coaching or mentoring experience is beneficial but not essential. Support will be provided to gain any required assessor or teaching qualifications.
