The Technology Portfolio Manager will establish clear ownership of technology portfolio governance across the Eastern Education Group, ensuring that digital investment is actively managed, optimised, and aligned to strategic priorities. This role oversees a complex, multi-site digital estate, including device fleets, software platforms, identity and access management, and utilisation data.
The postholder will influence the deployment of millions of pounds in technology investment, using data-driven insights to guide decisions on devices, software, and digital services. Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring utilisation and leading regular technology reviews
- Maintaining a single, authoritative view of the estate
- Identifying inefficiencies and supporting smarter procurement
- Ensuring value for money
Close collaboration with IT, Finance, Procurement, and curriculum teams is essential to align technology decisions with organisational needs and architectural standards. The role will also lead key enabling initiatives that shape the Group’s future digital environment, including:
