Shovel Driver
Are you ready to take on an exciting role in a dynamic construction environment? As a Shovel Driver at Eastern Concrete, you\’ll be at the heart of our production process, helping to create high-quality precast concrete products. You\’ll operate machinery, handle equipment, and drive a loading shovel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery and equipment to produce precast concrete units
- Pour and compact concrete into moulds according to design specifications
- Assist with demoulding, finishing, and curing processes
- Safely move and store precast elements using loading shovel or telehandler
- Perform material handling tasks as directed by site management
- Conduct daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Follow all health and safety protocols and wear PPE at all times
- Collaborate with the production team to meet output targets
The Ideal Candidate Will Have…
- Experience in the construction industry
- Ability to operate heavy plant and lifting equipment
- Valid loading shovel and/or telehandler/forklift licence
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Strong awareness of site safety standards and practices
What We Offer:
- Starting at £13.38 per hour, including paid breaks
- 45hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus overtime hours available.
