We are looking for a reliable and proactive Maintenance Officer to help maintain our Homes and create environments where residents, visitors and colleagues feel safe, comfortable and supported.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Officer, you will support the safe and effective operation of the Home(s) through the delivery of maintenance, repair, environmental and safety support services. You will help maintain safe, welcoming and well-presented environments while contributing to resident wellbeing, comfort and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Support safe, welcoming and well-maintained environments.
- Undertake routine inspections, repairs and environmental upkeep.
- Support resident comfort, safety and wellbeing through effective maintenance services.
- Support building systems, equipment and environmental controls.
- Complete maintenance schedules, safety checks and inspections.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers where required.
- Support grounds and environmental upkeep activities.
- Work collaboratively with care, catering, housekeeping and management teams.
- Communicate professionally with residents, visitors and contractors.
- Escalate hazards, incidents and maintenance concerns appropriately.
- Promote health and safety, fire safety and environmental compliance.
- Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure safe use of tools, equipment and materials.
- Support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Experienced within maintenance, facilities, environmental services or building support roles i.e. Plumbing, Joinery or electric experience.
- Practical, reliable and solution-focused.
