Eastdil Secured Savills is looking for an experienced, proactive, and commercially minded Compliance Officer / Deputy MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) to join our London team.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining day-to-day AML and compliance responsibilities with broader regulatory oversight, policy development and reporting to senior management and the Board.

The role will include AML responsibilities and oversight of compliance matters across our international business, including an FCA-regulated entity. We're looking for someone who is comfortable advising senior stakeholders, developing policies, running training and managing compliance risks, as well as rolling up their sleeves and preparing and managing KYC information.

Essential Functions

  • Support compliance oversight of our FCA-regulated entity and ensure relevant regulatory obligations are met.
  • Draft, review and implement compliance policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and support ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Work directly with deal teams and clients to ensure AML requirements are met without unnecessarily delaying transactions.
  • Manage KYC, client onboarding, customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD).
  • Prepare compliance and financial crime reports for senior management and the Board.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, external advisers and regulators as required.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen and streamline compliance processes.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 4–10+ years' experience in compliance.
  • Strong understanding of UK AML regulations, FCA requirements, KYC, and financial crime compliance.
  • Practical experience managing KYC files and client due diligence.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and providing clear, pragmatic advice.
  • Able to balance regulatory requirements with the commercial realities of a transaction-driven business.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and happy to get involved at every level.
  • Experience in investment banking, real estate advisory or financial services would be advantageous, as would ICA or ACAMS qualifications.
