Job Description
We are currently seeking honest, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join our team as Experienced Groundworkers/Civil Engineers. This long-term role is based in Kent, with projects throughout the South East of England. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a minimum of 7 years of proven experience in groundworks and civil engineering, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various groundwork tasks, including excavation, site preparation, drainage, and foundation work, in addition to operating heavy machinery and equipment.
- Engage in ground duties alongside machinery operation to ensure comprehensive completion of tasks.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other trades on-site to ensure smooth project execution.
- Read and interpret site plans and specifications to complete work accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring tools and materials are managed properly.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in groundworks and civil engineering. Experience on non-residential and commercial schemes.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and supervisory skills are a significant bonus.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in all aspects of groundworks; ability to read and interpret drawings. Ability to work in collaboration with Setting Out Engineers.
- Time Management: Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and resources to meet project deadlines.
- Safety Commitment: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and enforcing safety protocols.
- Driving License: Valid UK driving license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Certifications: SSSTS, SMSTS & Confined Space Training preferable; CSCS card required; First Aid at Work certification is a plus.
- References: 2 professional references.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
