Job description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Hours of work are 13:00-23:00 Monday to Friday + overtime available 22:00-07:00 Sunday to Thursday + overtime available Responsibilities * Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas. * Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control. * Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols at all times. * Conduct regular inspections of equipment, reporting any issues for repair or maintenance. * Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring that all items are stored correctly and safely. * Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and locations. * Assist in basic maths calculations for inventory management and order fulfilment. * Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency. * order picking Drinks and wines, sprits etc Experience * Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting is preferred. * Proficiency in heavy lifting techniques and materials handling practices. * Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous. * Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance tasks is desirable. * Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is beneficial but not mandatory.
