Job description Job description Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties * Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas. * Accurately move products within the warehouse using a Warehouse Management System (WMS). * Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are correctly documented and stored. * Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs. * Assist in heavy lifting and materials handling as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed. * Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised and efficient warehouse environment. * Order Picking produce both using MHE and by hand * keeping the warehouse tidy Skills * Proven experience operating forklifts and familiarity with various types of material handling equipment. * Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes along with warehouse management systems. * Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and maintenance tasks. * Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the role effectively. * Proficient in basic maths for inventory management and documentation purposes. * Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail in all tasks performed.
