Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to maintaining safety standards while performing various tasks related to shipping and receiving. Hours of work at 06:00-14:00 / 12:00-18:00 weekly Rotation Monday to Friday Duties * Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas. * Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, ensuring it is in good working order. * Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. * Utilise warehouse management systems for tracking inventory, shipments, and deliveries. * Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. * Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. * Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring that all loads are secured properly before transport. * Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency. Experience * Previous experience in a warehouse setting is essential, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes. * Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is preferred but not mandatory as training may be provided. * Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise. * Basic mathematical skills are required for inventory management and order processing. * Experience in shipping and receiving processes will be beneficial for this role.
