Job Purpose:

Eastbourne Borough Council is looking for a talented and experienced Operational Seafront Manager to take charge of a wide variety of operations across the beachfront. This dynamic and rewarding role offers the opportunity to oversee day-to-day management of Eastbourne\’s seafront facilities, ensuring that both residents and visitors have an outstanding experience. Responsible for managing a team of both permanent and casual staff across a range of services, including the Eastbourne Bandstand, seafront box office, lifeguard services, beach hut and deckchair rentals, public conveniences, boat berths, seafront concessions and more. With the seafront being a central hub for local events, tourism, and leisure activities, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, service, and operational efficiency.

You\’ll also be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, handling customer service queries, and supporting the delivery of seafront events. In addition, you will play a key role in budgeting and resource management, ensuring the efficient use of staff, equipment, and facilities.
