Position Overview
The IPM Technician is responsible for executing and managing all pest and disease prevention strategies within the cultivation facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining plant health, product safety, and regulatory compliance by overseeing all pesticide applications and integrated pest management protocols. Reporting to the Director of Cultivation, the IPM Technician ensures all treatments are applied safely, effectively, and in full compliance with state, local, and federal regulations and company SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Pesticide Application & Treatment Execution
- Perform all pesticide applications including foliar sprays, root drenches, and other treatment methods.
- Apply biological controls such as beneficial insects as part of the IPM program.
- Ensure proper mixing, dosing, and application techniques in accordance with product labels and SOPs.
- Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times during pesticide handling and application in accordance with product labels, safety guidelines, and company SOPs.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain strict adherence to all applicable state, local, and federal regulations governing pesticide use.
- Accurately document all applications, including product used, batch information, timing, and dosage.
