Engineers are an essential part of East Yorkshire Buses, they ensure our fleet of vehicles are kept safe, reliable and available for service at all times. Fancy yourself a great problem solver? We've got an exciting opportunity for you to join our award-winning team. We are seeking an experienced NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Skilled Bus/HGV Technician to join our team at the Bridlington Depot. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses at our Bridlington Depot, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and in top condition for daily service.

This is a permanent late shift role, covering 1300 - 2100 - Monday to Friday. You'll be responsible for maintaining our fleet of buses to company standards, running and roadside repairs, diagnostic and development works including after treatment systems, carry out vehicle inspections to company requirements, health and safety compliance and carrying out standard operating procedures. This is a permanent, full time role, working 39 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of buses.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Perform safety inspections in accordance with DVSA and company standards.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest quality and within set timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.
