b Overview /b p In this role you lead and deliver the economic development programme for the East West Rail project. You’ll align strategic growth initiatives with corridor-level and local delivery, ensuring economic and community opportunities shape design and decisions. You’ll work across government, regulators, and partners to secure support and mitigate risks, driving sustainable growth and place-based outcomes. This is a chance to influence a major infrastructure programme with lasting regional impact in the Oxford–Cambridge Growth Corridor. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li competitive salary /li li up to 12% employer pension contribution /li li 36 days annual leave + 2 extra days /li li 2 volunteering days /li li life assurance (4x salary) /li li Employee Assistance Programme /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead the economic development programme across five areas, including gaining Whitehall support and corridor-level interventions. /li li Develop and maintain place-based relationships and support the Development Consent Order (DCO) process, engaging local partners. /li li Collaborate with Sponsors and design teams to embed growth opportunities in station design and integration decisions. /li li Strengthen the business case by evidencing economic development contributions to the programme. /li li Advocate for embedding economic growth, housing and social benefits across EWR Co’s work and communicate opportunities internally. /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Substantial experience in cross-organisational partnership working with evidenced outcomes /li li Proven ability to lead and manage a programme from inception to delivery and close-out /li li Experience in economic development including analysis and strategy, preferably in infrastructure /li li Ability to build and sustain relationships with Government partners and local stakeholders /li li Comfort working at strategic and local scales with strong analytical and communication skills /li /ul ul li relationship-building /li li stakeholder management /li li clear communication /li li economic development analysis /li li strategy development /li li programme management /li /ul
