b Overview /b p As Engineering Survey Manager, you will lead the engineering survey, geospatial and survey control activities for the East West Rail programme, acting as the client’s technical authority on survey matters. You will govern data, networks and deliverables to ensure accuracy, safety and compliance across design, construction, testing and handover. You will establish programme-wide survey governance and ensure seamless integration with BIM, GIS and asset information systems. You will foster continuous improvement and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver an integrated, data-driven railway solution. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Competitive salary /li li Up to 12% employer pension contribution /li li 36 days annual leave (+ optional 2 days) /li li 2 volunteering days /li li Enhanced family-friendly policies /li li Life assurance (4x annual salary) /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Own and maintain the EWR Survey Strategy and survey information requirements /li li Provide technical leadership for topographic, engineering, construction, monitoring and as-built surveys /li li Establish, manage and assure survey control networks, coordinate systems and geospatial frameworks /li li Ensure survey information is integrated into design, BIM, GIS, construction and asset management systems /li li Govern delivery through the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring ISO 19650 compliance /li li Define and assure survey deliverables, metadata, quality standards and digital handback requirements /li li Contribute to procurement, management and assurance of survey suppliers and contractors /li li Lead spatial data management, GIS strategy and geospatial analytics across the programme /li li Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering function /li li Collaborate with other departments, stakeholders and external partners for integrated projects /li li Prioritise health and safety and cost-conscious decision making /li li Act as a role model for EWR Co’s vision and Ways of Working /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Experience in the definition, delivery and assurance of survey activities on large-scale infrastructure projects /li li Knowledge of the creation and maintenance of survey control networks, geodesy and coordinate systems /li li Experience of integrating survey information with BIM, GIS and asset information systems /li li Understanding of design, construction and as-built survey workflows and accompanying assurance activities /li li Desirable: experience in railway survey activities; NR/L2/RSE/02009 familiarity; leadership as Project Engineer or higher /li li Desirable: familiarity with technical standards and digital initiatives for Network Rail and/or National Highways /li li Desirable: degree in Surveying/Geomatics/Geospatial Engineering/Civil Engineering or equivalent experience /li li Desirable: membership of a professional body such as CICES or RICS (Chartered titles) or equivalent /li /ul ul li Collaborative mindset /li li Strong communication and stakeholder engagement /li li Health and safety minded /li li Survey management for large-scale infrastructure /li li Creation and maintenance of survey control networks; geodesy; coordinate systems /li li Integration of survey data with BIM, GIS and asset information systems /li /ul
