Role Summary: This role will lead the project reporting team to design, manage, and produce a comprehensive suite of delivery reports throughout the design and delivery phases. Reporting to the Project Controls Director, this role is responsible for establishing and maintaining the project's delivery cadence, designing and maintaining accurate, timely, and insightful reporting to support informed decision-making and transparent project performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of reporting analysts, providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure high-quality reporting outputs.
- Responsible for setting, managing and maintaining the project's delivery reporting strategy and plan to deliver regular governance reporting.
- Establishing and maintaining the project's regular reporting cadence and approach to action and decision management.
- Design and implement reporting frameworks, templates, and tools to effectively capture and present project performance data.
- Oversee the production of regular and ad-hoc delivery reports, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of information.
- Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management to gather necessary data and ensure alignment with reporting requirements.
- Monitor and analyse project metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational reporting standards and practices.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards to the Project Controls Director and other senior stakeholders, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to the execution of the EWR Delivery Strategy (Creating the right environment, aligning with the Future of the Rail Industry and Developing a Digital Spine).
- Responsible for managing and supporting direct reports including coaching and developing team members to drive individual growth and operational excellence.
- Leading continuous improvement, through regular performance management and ensuring compliance with organisation policies and updating relevant systems.
- Take responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety by adopting and working to the EWR Co Health and Safety principles.
- Demonstrates a cost-conscious mindset, keeping taxpayers’ money at the forefront of decisions.
- Shows a commitment to innovation by proactively seeking creative solutions to challenges and opportunities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Demonstrable experience of leading and managing reporting teams undertaking project controls and/or reporting, data acquisition and analysis, with a focus on complex large-scale infrastructure and/or construction projects.
- Proven track record of developing, designing and maintaining reporting frameworks, tools and systems operating in complex project environments.
- Strong and effective leadership and team management skills, with experience of overseeing reporting teams and delivering high-quality reporting outputs.
