Scope

Knowledge
Essential
- Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of BS 7671 and safe isolation procedures.
- Good electrical health and safety awareness.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Valid ECS Card.
Desirable
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
- IOSH or similar H&S qualification.
- Additional building services, access equipment or water hygiene training.
Experience & Technical Knowledge
- Experience in commercial maintenance or facilities management.
- Electrical fault finding, repairs and minor installations.
- Understanding of inspection, testing and certification requirements.
- Knowledge of electrical compliance and safe systems of work.
- Experience using CAFM systems.
- Experience supporting apprentices.
- Basic plumbing and building fabric maintenance skills.

Key Duties
Electrical Maintenance
- Complete planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
- Undertake minor installation and alteration works.
- Carry out inspection and testing where qualified and authorised.
- Follow safe isolation and lock-off procedures.
- Report defects and recommend remedial actions.
Building Services Support
- Assist with wider building services maintenance.
- Carry out minor plumbing and building fabric repairs.
- Support other trades when required.
- Escalate specialist or high-risk works.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all legislation, site rules and company procedures.
- Work to risk assessments and method statements.
- Use tools, test equipment and PPE safely.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Report hazards, incidents and compliance concerns.
- Support audits and inspections.
Records, Customer Service & Teamwork
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and CAFM updates.
- Deliver professional customer service.
- Work effectively with colleagues, clients and contractors.
- Support apprentices and share knowledge.
