The Hastings and Rother Neighbourhood Support team are looking for 2 qualified Social Workers to join our friendly, supportive and fast-paced team. No two days are ever the same! The Hastings and Rother Neighbourhood Support team is an Adult Social Care team supporting over 5,000 adults, families and their carers where the adult’s primary presenting need relates to physical health conditions and disabilities, neurological conditions and disabilities, age-related disability, end of life care, mild or moderate mental health issues, learning disabilities and autism and associated support needs.

Your role will be to undertake statutory assessments of need under the Care Act 2014, as well as undertaking assessments under the Mental Capacity Act 2005. You will also support with safeguarding enquiries; Court of Protection work and children transitioning through to our services, working closely with other teams and agencies using a multi-disciplinary approach.

We regard our staff as our greatest asset, and whether you have just passed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment, or you are an experienced practitioner seeking a change in role, we will support your journey with structured support and development opportunities. The varied nature of referrals coming into the team will provide you with valuable experience of working with a wide variety of adults and their situations, which provides excellent learning opportunities for working in Adult Services.

As a qualified Social Worker you will also be given the opportunity to qualify as a Best Interests Assessor and Practice Educator so you can take an active role in developing others.
