An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Resource Officer within Adult Social Care in our Mental Health Adults and Substance Misuse team, based in Hastings. The vacancy is part time – 30 hours a week (7.5 hours a day), 4 days a week, and is a 12-month fixed term position.
The role involves working with adults between the ages of 18β70 with severe and enduring mental health needs and adults over the age of 18 with no upper age limit with substance misuse needs. You will focus on the strengths and resilience of the Adult ensuring they are in a safe space and with the specialist support in place to ensure their social care needs are met.
Within the Senior Resource Officer role, you will be responsible for supervising the Resource Officers within the team. This will include monthly supervisions, case audits and overseeing the work being completed by those you supervise, including care act assessments, support planning and safeguarding enquiries.
You will be responsible for overseeing the professional development, including the occupational competency and development framework, for Resource Officers within the team and triaging the incoming referrals, including requests for care act assessments and safeguarding concerns and managing the duty work being allocated.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have knowledge of the Care Act assessment process, assessment of risk, and the mental capacity act (2005)
- Have Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults process, and ability to effectively undertake Safeguarding Enquiries
- Have Experience as a Resource Officer in Adult Social Care
- Are able to demonstrate professional resilience
- Can work positively with others and contribute to team working
- Have supervision experience
