The East Sussex County Council Recruitment Team are looking for a Recruitment Assistant. This is a great opportunity for an introduction to working in recruitment and HR and can provide an invaluable foundation for anyone looking to launch a career in these areas of work.
We are a busy team responsible for assisting candidates and supporting hiring managers right across the Council to make more than 1000 appointments every year to a diverse variety of roles ranging from apprentices to our most senior management positions.
We are always looking to make improvements for our customers whilst working within a supportive team and working hard to live up to our excellent reputation. As a member of the team you will have the opportunity to influence change, be creative and make a difference to people’s working lives.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are proactive and confident communicators who are able to speak to managers and candidates
- Enjoy the challenge of working at pace to meet deadlines whilst retaining a keen eye for detail
- Can manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
- Can manage a large case load of appointed candidates to meet deadlines

Interviews will be held in person on Thursday 12 December 2024 at County Hall in Lewes. We will provide you with a copy of the interview questions before your interview. You will be interviewed by two current team members and we welcome your questions as part of the process.
The post is based in Lewes, East Sussex and we will require that you work from the office for a minimum of three days per week.
