Are you an Occupational Therapist with an interest and experience in providing community equipment to adults living in East Sussex? Then working for the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) as an Occupational Therapist would be an ideal role for you.
The role involves maintaining the link between the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES), Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy and Health practitioners, by providing support for the co-ordination and the operational delivery of ICES, which is a pooled budget arrangement between ESCC and NHS Sussex.
As an Occupational Therapist you will:
- Contribute to the development of the community equipment catalogue, and the co-ordination and operational delivery of ICES and promote efficient and consistent prescribing practice across Health and ASC practitioner.
- Participate in projects to ensure that the proposed developments meet the needs of the people that we support.
- Be expected to work in locations such as the equipment provider\’s offices approximately one day a week and occasionally travel to other locations. There is flexibility to work from home as well.
We are looking for candidates that are:
- An Occupational Therapist with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Community Equipment in relation to its purpose, its function, its prescription.
- Experienced in project work and/or are willing to undertake training in this area.
- Able to work under pressure where demand is constant and priorities need to be managed.
- Are committed to equality of service provision and community development.
