Project Assistant – Careers Hub in Lewes

Are you passionate about business admin and working with education and employers, with a particular focus on alternative provision and primary schools? If you are, you could be the perfect fit for our East Sussex Careers Hub project officer role.

As a Project Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the careers hub in its work with employers and schools/colleges.

You’ll be the first point of contact for enquiries and will work closely with partners and participants particularly projects related to primary careers and alternative provision schools. You’ll help keep processes running smoothly while maintaining excellent communication and accurate records.

This role is available as one full‑time position (37 hours). This role is hybrid.

The role is 1-year fixed term until 31 August 2027

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Can manage and organise varied workloads, working to short deadlines
  • Can communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people
  • Has the ability to plan clearly and support project delivery
  • Can provide customer service with empathy and professionalism
  • Has strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and database systems
  • Can understand data protection and maintain confidentiality at all times
