Do you have what it takes to oversee the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced service that provides support to people to remain in their own homes? If the answer is yes, then our Deputy Manager role could be right for you!

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team - Joint Community Rehabilitation Service – High Weald, Lewes & Havens. This role is instrumental to us being able to provide a high-quality service to people requiring support in their own home. The Deputy Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of our fast-paced service and is a vital point of contact for people, Team Leaders, Support Workers and other professionals. As a Deputy Manager you will be expected to maintain an overview of referrals, deal with queries and lead the team. You will also support the Intermediate Care Manager and maintain an oversight of the service in their absence.

The Joint Community Rehabilitation Service (JCR) is a community service provided by a team of Team Leaders, Support Workers, Therapists and Resource Officers. It helps people to remain in their own home whilst promoting their independence and wellbeing, avoid going into hospital unnecessarily and become independent as soon as possible after a stay in hospital and engage in a structured goals and improvement programme.

For this role you will need:

  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work alongside and in partnership with other teams
  • Good problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own, using initiative and prioritising own workload
  • Full driving licence or to be able to demonstrate how the travel requirements of the post will be met
