Seaside Short Breaks is a residential children’s home that provides high quality care to children and young people, aged 7-19 years, who have complex needs and disabilities.

The postholder will undertake general cleaning and domestic duties to the required standard in accordance with agreed schedules/rotas of work, either individually or as part of a team. This role includes weekend working.

This role is more than cleaning – it’s about creating a homely, healthy space that helps children feel safe, respected, and cared for. Your work will directly contribute to their wellbeing and the smooth running of a unique and vital service.

You’ll be responsible for the cleaning of designated areas. Tasks include cleaning, washing, laundry, sweeping and vacuuming, and will include toilets and associated facilities. You\’ll operate, where necessary, appropriate powered equipment to undertake the main duties of the post e.g. carpet cleaning equipment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can adhere to a cleaning programme
  • Can work to required standards
  • Can plan, prioritise and work with minimal supervision and work independently.
