Forest Row Nursery is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated Nursery Supervisor to lead our nursery provision and ensure a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners. The Nursery Supervisor will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education and care. You will be responsible for planning and implementing the nursery curriculum, supervising staff on a day-to-day basis, and ensuring that all statutory and safeguarding requirements are met. Key Responsibilities:- Lead on long-term, medium-term and session planning to ensure children work towards desirable learning outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality teaching and ensure staff are effectively deployed to support children’s learning and development.
- Oversee the daily programme of nursery activities and events.
- Carry out observations and maintain accurate records of children’s progress.
- Monitor the quality of teaching and identify training needs within the team.
- Maintain all required records, including accident and incident logs.
- Build strong relationships with parents/carers, sharing information and encouraging involvement in the nursery.
- Ensure the nursery environment is safe, hygienic and well-maintained, with robust safety procedures in place.
- Contribute to and implement all nursery policies and procedures.
- Attend relevant training and meetings.
- RQF Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent).
- Evidence of recent and relevant professional development.
- Experience working in a childcare setting, including supporting children with special educational needs.
