You could make a real difference to people’s lives as a Community Dementia support worker.
The Dementia Post Diagnostic Support service is a countywide community service. Mileage is paid at 45p per business mile.
The aim of the Service is to be the main point of contact for the person diagnosed and their carer during the entire dementia journey
The service provides appropriate emotional support, practical help, guidance and information to meet the needs of those entering the service, as well as facilitating access to well-being interventions which promote independence and quality of life.
Previous experience isn’t necessary as full training will be given, but you will need to be patient, kind, and an communicator with a desire to make a difference.
We are looking for candidate who:
- Are kind and compassionate
- Are organised
- Have communication skills
- Are self motivated
- Have a car they can use for work with business insurance
