As a Registrar, you will provide an essential public service through customer care, accurate data management and professional administration. You'll meet customers face-to-face, by telephone and online, gathering information, maintaining legal records, processing documentation and using specialist systems to ensure high levels of accuracy and compliance.
Working in a busy team environment, you'll balance competing priorities, solve problems, respond to enquiries and contribute to continuous service improvements while delivering a professional and efficient experience for every customer.
One permanent full-time position (37 hours per week) is available and based at Crowborough Register Office. This is a fully office-based, customer-facing role and is not suitable for home working. As part of a countywide Registration Service, you may be required to work from any of our registration offices across East Sussex to meet service needs.

We are looking for candidates who:
  • Have a strong customer service ethos and experience of delivering service to a wide range of customers.
  • Have developed ICT skills, including ability of accurately inputting, checking and maintaining computer-based records and data.
  • Can communicate confidently and professionally with customers, colleagues and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Are organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Have attention to detail, with the ability to analyse information, maintain accurate records and follow procedures consistently.
