An exciting opportunity has arisen within the East Sussex Education Division for a full‑time, permanent Business Administrator to join the Specialist Teaching Services Admin Team. We are a Local Authority service committed to championing change for children across East Sussex.

You will play a key role in supporting the Council to deliver excellent services to children, families and schools. The work is fast‑paced and varied, and you will receive full training and ongoing support to help you succeed.

Our administrative team supports a wide range of services, including:

  • Teaching and Learning Provision
  • Elective Home Education
  • Interim Provision
  • English as an Additional Language (EALS)
  • Sensory Needs Service.

In this role, you will contribute to several of these areas, giving you valuable insight into the East Sussex Education Division while applying your existing skills and developing new ones.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Confidence using email and word‑processing software including working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A resilient approach, with strong personal drive and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A strong team ethic, able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
