Hours of work: TA: 29.17 + MDSA: 2.92 per week. Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service). As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata. Fixed term for: 10.5 months.
About the Role
- We are looking for a Teaching Assistant and MDSA who is:
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, as a Teaching Assistant, including 35 minutes per day as an MDSA.
- Able to support small groups and individual pupils with a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
- Committed to supporting teaching, learning, and safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Able to establish and maintain positive, effective relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Able to assist in preparing learning activities and classroom resources.
- Committed to promoting positive behaviour using appropriate behaviour management strategies in line with school policy.
- Committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
- Able to deliver intervention groups for pupils with SEND, or is willing to undertake relevant training.
- Able to provide feedback to the class teacher and/or SENCO regarding pupils’ learning, progress, and behaviour strategies.
- Able to support pupils with high needs on a 1:1 basis when required.
- Willing to undertake break-time supervision duties, promoting positive play and encouraging a positive playtime experience.
- Able to deliver whole-class lessons and activities for up to 30% of employed time throughout the school year.

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, and a first aid qualification would be highly desirable.
