Are you an experienced manager looking for a new challenge where you will help to transform service delivery of the Blue Badge Team? If so, this could be the role for you.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative manager to help shape and implement technological and customer service improvements in the Blue Badge team. The team provide a vital service to ensure those applicants with severe mobility problems who meet the Department for Transport criteria are issued with a Blue Badge promptly, to enable them to park near to the places they are visiting.

As the Team Manager you will:

  • Manage, motivate and develop the Blue Badge Team;
  • Be involved in the review and transformation of the service, identifying, implementing and improving processes;
  • Represent the service and the Council at both internal and external meetings and forums;
  • Ensure that you keep abreast of changes to legislation to meet our legal responsibilities;
  • Manage resources effectively, including staffing and budgetary oversight within your service area.

  • A proven track record in performance management and service planning.
  • Strong leadership skills, to motivate, develop and shape the team and the service;
  • A commitment to improving levels of customer service and satisfaction;
