We are looking for an experienced Site Carpentry professional to join our Construction team at Ore Valley, supporting apprentices through high-quality teaching and work-based assessment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, working with motivated learners and a supportive curriculum and apprenticeship team.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Site Carpentry teaching to apprentices on Wednesdays (Year 2 – on-site) and Fridays (Year 1 – on-site).
  • Complete work-based assessments for apprentices across two additional flexible days, planned around teaching delivery.
  • Support learners with progress reviews, evidence gathering, and preparation for End-Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a high-quality apprenticeship experience aligned to industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 NVQ in Site Carpentry.
  • Ideally at least 5 years’ industry experience, demonstrating occupational competence.
  • Experience teaching and/or assessing apprentices, either on a 1:1 basis or in group settings.
  • Familiarity with EPA requirements for the Level 2 Site Carpentry Apprenticeship Standard.
  • For many of our teaching roles, we welcome applications from candidates at any stage of their career, including industry professionals with no or limited teaching experience.
