You’ll play a key role in inspiring students through high-quality teaching, with opportunities to contribute to specialist areas such as forensic, marine, and environmental science. Alongside teaching, you’ll support learners as a personal tutor, helping them achieve their full potential in an inclusive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering across a range of Applied Science programmes, including BTEC Applied Science, with opportunities to contribute to specialist areas such as Marine Science & Environmental Science.
  • Providing pastoral support as a personal tutor, supporting students’ academic progress and wellbeing.
  • Engaging and inspiring students through high-quality, inclusive, and student-centred delivery.
  • Sharing your subject expertise, passion, and any relevant industry insight to bring learning to life.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience – either within teaching or in a science-based industry (e.g. applied, environmental, forensic, or marine sectors).
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centred teaching and learning.
  • A relevant degree in a science-related discipline.
  • Teaching experience within Further Education is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability or willingness to contribute to specialist areas such as marine, and/or environmental science would be highly advantageous.
