Sessional Teacher - Sport/UPS in Hastings

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Bank Lecturers in Sport and/or Public Uniformed Services to join our team and support our learners on a flexible, as‑needed basis.

Working with ambitious students, you'll deliver engaging lessons, share your real‑world expertise, and help prepare learners for successful careers within the sport, fitness, public services and wider related sectors.

Whether your background is in sport, fitness, coaching, the military, police, fire and rescue service, prison service, ambulance service, or another uniformed/public service setting, this is an exciting opportunity to inspire future professionals while enjoying the flexibility that bank teaching offers.

This rewarding role will include:

• Delivering engaging lessons across a range of Sport and Public Uniformed Services programmes as required.
• Sharing current industry knowledge and professional experience to bring learning to life.
• Supporting learners to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for progression into employment, apprenticeships or higher education.
• Working collaboratively with teaching teams to provide high‑quality learning experiences.
• Motivating and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
• Contributing flexibly to curriculum delivery to meet learner and departmental needs.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Industry experience within Sport, Fitness, Coaching, Leisure, Physical Education, Public Uniformed Services, Emergency Services, Armed Forces, or a related sector.
• Relevant professional experience and a passion for supporting and developing others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, collaborative and learner‑focused approach.
• The ability to adapt and work flexibly in a dynamic educational environment.

Based at our Hastings campus.

Annual salary: Circa £33 - £47 per hour including holiday/planning rates.

(Subject to qualifications, skills and experience – please note the top of the payscale is reserved for highly qualified and experienced teachers.)
