We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated A-Level Sociology Lecturer to join our vibrant team in Eastbourne for a fixed term to cover Maternity Leave. This is an exciting opportunity to engage and motivate students, fostering a passion for Sociology while supporting them to achieve their full academic potential.
Working across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on a fixed-term basis until the end of the academic year, you’ll be part of a collaborative environment committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning. This exciting role will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging A-Level Sociology lessons aligned with the AQA specification
- Developing schemes of work and inclusive resources to support a diverse range of learners
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Contributing to curriculum development, enrichment activities, and departmental initiatives
If you can demonstrate the following, then we’d love to hear from you:
- A degree in Sociology or a related subject and strong subject knowledge
- Experience teaching Sociology at A Level or a post-16 setting
- Excellent communication, organisation, and a commitment to student success

College location: Based at our Eastbourne Campus.
Hours: Part Time – 22 hours/52.14 Weeks – FTC Until March 2026 (Maternity Cover) August Start
