We have a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher in Inclusive Learning to join our dedicated team at our Eastbourne Campus. Our Inclusive Learning Team supports young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, as well as barriers to learning, enabling them to achieve their qualifications, progress onto inspiring programmes, and develop a clear vision for their future. We have high expectations for all our learners and are committed to helping them exceed their aspirations. You’ll be joining a dynamic, supportive team that takes a person-centred, multi-disciplinary approach to delivering high-quality, inclusive education.
Role Overview
- Delivering engaging teaching across a range of subjects, including Functional Skills (Maths and English), employability skills, and personal and social development
- Supporting learners with social, emotional and mental health needs, learning difficulties, disabilities, and Autism
- Working collaboratively with curriculum staff to design enriching learning experiences that raise aspirations
- Contributing to departmental planning, team meetings, and the ongoing development of Inclusive Learning provision
Qualifications & Experience
If you can demonstrate the following, then we’d love to hear from you:
- A relevant degree (or equivalent) and a recognised teaching qualification
- Experience working with young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including managing challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a student-centred approach to teaching
- A passion for inclusion and supporting learners to progress successfully into mainstream courses or future pathways
