Responsibilities
- Providing mentoring and pastoral support to students who may be experiencing personal, social, or emotional difficulties.
- Supporting the safeguarding and wellbeing of students, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support teams, and external agencies to create tailored support plans.
- Promoting resilience, self‑esteem, and positive mental health among students.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young people in an educational, social care, or support setting.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding practices and child protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non‑judgmental approach.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.

College location: Based at our Eastbourne Campus
Annual salary: Circa £24,900 Full Time Equivalent (pro rata for term time only)
Hours: Part time 24 hours / 34 weeks
