Salary: £28,564.64 - £30,222.40 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: 8:45 am - 5 pm (12 months fixed term)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Work Placement Coordinator to join our friendly and hardworking team. In this exciting role you will have responsibility to source extended work experience placements in specific sectors for learners on different programmes. You will be involved in work-related projects to meet the demand from curriculum departments for 16-18 full time learners and act as the main point of contact for all work experience and project enquiries within the College group.
Working closely with the Business Development and Curriculum teams and other managers, you will engage with existing employers and be able to understand different work experience needs of learners and develop ways to streamline contact with employers. You will be responsible to plan timings and structure of all placements whilst establishing a system for the monitoring and tracking of learners in work placements. You will deal with day-to-day communication with employers and learners and support the college with work key placement events.
The successful candidate must have:
- Strong administration and communication skills
- Previous experience of seeking new placement and work-related project leads
- Previous experience developing relationships with employers to develop business needs and growth
- Full clean driving license, own transport and willingness to use own transport for work purposes (including between campuses)
- Equality & Diversity Level 2 (or willing to obtain)
