Hours: Monday and Friday - 8:45 am to 5 pm
We are recruiting for a Participation Lead who has experience in designing and delivering inclusive, high-quality and dynamic student participation and enrichment programmes that promote student aspirations and positive outcomes. If you have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people and vulnerable learners, and the ability to improve student engagement, attendance and retention, we would like to hear from you.
In this role, you will be leading initiatives that support students at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), create opportunities that develop confidence, resilience, independence and teamwork skills, and promote equality, diversity and inclusion through student activities and programmes.
The successful candidate must have:
- Relevant qualification in youth work, education, wellbeing or in a related area of sports and coaching or willing to work towards one
- Experience working with young people in an education, youth work or support setting
- Knowledge of strategies to improve student engagement, attendance and retention
- Understanding of trauma informed practice and relational approaches
- Strong report writing skills, with the ability to present clear summaries, insights and recommendations
