Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) Cognition & Learning Practice Lead in Redhill

Are you passionate about supporting learners with specific learning difficulties to achieve their full potential?

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Specific Learning Difficulties (Sp LD) Practice Lead to provide specialist leadership across our colleges.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop high-quality support for learners with dyslexia, dyscalculia and related specific learning profiles, helping to create an inclusive environment where every learner can thrive.

As our Sp LD Practice Lead, you will lead the development and delivery of specialist Sp LD provision across the College Group, ensuring learners receive effective, targeted and inclusive support.

You will work closely with curriculum teams, support services, safeguarding colleagues and external professionals to identify learner needs, coordinate interventions and monitor impact.

The role includes overseeing screening and assessment processes, leading exam access arrangements, supporting the effective use of assistive technology, managing a caseload of learners, including those with EHCPs, and line managing a team of Sp LD and learning support teachers.

What we're looking for

• We are looking for a highly organised and learner-focused professional with:
• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• A teaching qualification at Level 4 or above.
• A Level 7 Sp LD Assessor qualification or equivalent Exam Access Arrangements qualification (such as CPT3A, PATOSS or PAPAA).
• Experience supporting learners with specific learning difficulties within an educational setting.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation, the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
• Experience of exam access arrangements and reasonable adjustments, including JCQ requirements.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and inclusive practice.

Interviews are expected to take place from 20th of August onwards.
