We are currently seeking to appoint an organised and enthusiasticLRC Assistantto join ourLearning Resource Centre where you will be responsible for supporting the use, maintenance, and development of the Colleges LRC.
You will contribute to the general development and running of the LRC, including staffing the front desk, processing new stock, creating displays, maintaining computerised loan records and carrying out routine support services such as shelving, self-tidying and filing, and processing and recording information on to College systems.
You will also be responsible for providing IT support to both staff and students for various cross College IT systems and providing overall front line customer service support in the LRC including basic IT support and supervision of students.
The successful candidate must have:
- Maths and English GCSE at Level 2 (or level 2 equivalent)
- Strong IT skills including previous use of Microsoft packages (such as Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
- The confidence to work independently and as part of a group
- The ability to support LRC users and be confident in dealing with challenging situations when they arise
- The ability to work under pressure and be flexible and adaptable when solving problems
