Salary: £46,931 - £51,277 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)

Hours: Full time (37 hours/week) 08:45-17:00 Mon – Fri

Overview: We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to take our English provision forward across the College Group. You will lead and manage English delivery, ensuring high-quality teaching and strong outcomes for students across GCSE and Functional Skills. You will play a central role in driving achievement, attendance, progress and a positive learner experience. You will work closely with the Director of Learning (English and Maths) to develop a responsive and ambitious curriculum, support staff development, and use data and insights to continuously improve performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage English delivery across the College Group to ensure high-quality teaching and student outcomes
  • Drive achievement, attendance, progress and a positive learner experience across GCSE and Functional Skills
  • Collaborate with the Director of Learning (English and Maths) to develop a responsive and ambitious English curriculum
  • Support staff development and use data and insights to continuously improve performance

Qualifications:

  • Full Teaching qualification
  • A demonstrable track record of improving success rates and standards
  • Knowledge of current developments in the English curriculum within Further Education
  • Experience of supervising staff
