Overview: We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to take our English provision forward across the College Group. You will lead and manage English delivery, ensuring high-quality teaching and strong outcomes for students across GCSE and Functional Skills. You will play a central role in driving achievement, attendance, progress and a positive learner experience. You will work closely with the Director of Learning (English and Maths) to develop a responsive and ambitious curriculum, support staff development, and use data and insights to continuously improve performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage English delivery across the College Group to ensure high-quality teaching and student outcomes
- Drive achievement, attendance, progress and a positive learner experience across GCSE and Functional Skills
- Collaborate with the Director of Learning (English and Maths) to develop a responsive and ambitious English curriculum
- Support staff development and use data and insights to continuously improve performance
Qualifications:
- Full Teaching qualification
- A demonstrable track record of improving success rates and standards
- Knowledge of current developments in the English curriculum within Further Education
- Experience of supervising staff
