College location: East Surrey College (Redhill) and John Ruskin College (Selsdon)

Salary: £46,931.57 - 51,277 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)

Hours: Full time (37 hours/week) 08:45-17:00 Mon – Fri

We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Programme Manager to lead across various departments including Construction, Apprenticeships, HE and Adults across our college Group. In this exciting role you will have responsibility for the effective management, co-ordination and planning of the courses/learning programmes within the department.

Working closely with the Director of Learning you will manage and organise the efficient day to day running of the department, ensuring that the student experience is maintained for all learners. You will manage department budgets, timetable courses/staff, review staff utilisation, and support HR processes in regards to staff management. You will also carry out staff observations, support student experience and behaviour management and personally still deliver an agreed amount of teaching hours in your chosen specialism.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 equivalent
  • A full teaching qualification (ideally at level 5 or above)
  • Minimum of Level 3 in relevant subject specialism (or willing to obtain)
  • Previous management experience within a Further Education environment (coordination or supervisory experience may also be considered)
  • Experience of managing a range of different provisions
  • Experience of Quality assurance
  • Assessor and internal verification qualifications (achieved or to be worked towards) is desirable
