We are seeking a passionate and motivated Employability Lecturer to join our dynamic Foundation Learning and Adult department. This role is ideal for someone committed to equipping learners with the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to succeed in the modern workplace.

Working closely with the Director of Learning and the rest of the departmental team, you will utilise your previous teaching experience to provide first class training and help your learners achieve at the highest levels, which will in turn enhance their employability skills. You will plan and deliver lessons, and appropriate learning resources.

The ideal candidate for this post will have previous experience working with people who have been long term unemployed, and a real passion for supporting people and helping them get back into work. You will be resilient, patient, and have the skillset to be able to work with a broad range of learners.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Maths and English at GCSE/Level 2 equivalent
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Experience in working with young people/adults with barriers to work
  • Experience in motivating and inspiring individuals to achieve and progress
  • Knowledge of the benefits system (desired but not essential)
  • Knowledge of the Construction industry (desired but not essential)
  • A teaching qualification (desired but not essential)
