Your Role
In this newly created position you will work collaboratively with a wide range of partners across employment, health and local sectors to reduce health‑related barriers to employment. You will focus on individuals who are economically inactive due to long‑term health conditions or low levels of physical and mental wellbeing, and you will help them move closer to sustainable employment through physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver and evaluate training and support for employment sector staff to embed physical activity into employability pathways.
- Build strong relationships with employment services, health organisations and local delivery partners to ensure a joined‑up, effective approach.
- Work primarily in Ipswich with a hyper‑local focus in priority areas.
- Co‑operate with Sport England and local partners such as Ipswich Borough Council, Suffolk County Council and others to secure funding and strategic alignment.
- Use data and insight to identify and target areas of greatest need, ensuring maximum impact.
