East Suffolk Services Limited is located in Ufford, Woodbridge, Suffolk IP13 6ET.

Salary: £31,537 - £34,434 per annum, during induction period (based on 37 hours per week).

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) during the induction period, increasing to 40 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday) on 1 June 2026.

Contract: Permanent, required to start 2 March 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support and give back to your local community. We currently have opportunities to join our Waste and Recycling team as a Refuse HGV Driver and Loader.

Your role:

  • You will be responsible for driving HGV Refuse Collection Vehicles and loading refuse, recycling, garden, food waste, and sacks onto the lorry, always prioritising health, safety, and excellent customer care.
  • This role is essential in keeping our streets clean and tidy.
  • As the Driver for your round, you will also act as chargehand, taking accountability for the vehicle and crew each day.
  • You will assist with in-cab technology, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all information related to your route.

What you will need:

  • You will need to hold a full UK Driver's License, an LGV Class 2 Category C licence, and a valid driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
  • If you are reliable, enjoy working as part of a team, have a keen awareness of health and safety, and do not mind physical work in all weather conditions, we would love to hear from you.
