The predicted salary is between 25000 - 35000 £ per year.

  • 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) during the induction period, increasing to 40 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday) on the 1 June 2026)*
  • Salary:
    • During induction period (based on 37 hours per week): £26,403 – £28,142 per annum
    • From 1 st June 2026 (based on 40 hours per week): £28,543 – £30,423 per annum

We currently have opportunities to join our Waste and Recycling team as a Refuse Loader.

* Please note – The 40 hours per week and salary banding is subject to ongoing consultation which concludes at the end of January 2026.

Your role

You’ll be responsible for loading refuse, recycling, garden, food waste, and sacks onto the Refuse Collection Vehicles – always prioritising health, safety, and excellent customer care. This role is essential in keeping our streets clean and tidy.

In addition, you’ll assist with in-cab technology, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all information related to your route and support drivers when manoeuvring the vehicle.
