East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work, delivering essential local services to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk. We currently have an opportunity to join the Repairs and Maintenance Team as a Responsive Repair Manager.
Your role
The successful candidate will manage a team of multi-trade operatives and contractors delivering responsive repairs, maintenance and building refurbishment projects primarily in empty homes across the council’s housing stock, with additional works in corporate buildings and other property portfolios, including private sector works where applicable. The postholder will ensure that all works, predominantly empty home works, are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction.
What you need
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Building Maintenance environment and sound knowledge of Building Regulations and governing bodies such as Gas Safe, NICEIC, FENSA.
- Ability to read, understand and utilise scaled drawings such as plans, technical drawings and construction design.
