Location: Central Lowestoft

Salary: £44,075 - £48,226 (Band 8)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months

The role is for a Pride in Place Programme Manager within the Communities and Leisure Team. The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of the Pride in Place programme (Neighbourhood Investment Plan) for Central Lowestoft – a £20m, long‑term regeneration initiative comprising multiple interrelated projects, grants and commissions. This position operates at the intersection of East Suffolk Council and the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board and is responsible for shaping, coordinating and delivering programme activity in an evolving, early‑stage environment where priorities, structures and delivery approaches are still being defined.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall planning, coordination and monitoring of the Pride in Place programme.
  • Engage with multi‑stakeholder partners, including governance structures and partnership organisations.
  • Ensure programme activities align with regeneration objectives and objectives of the Neighbourhood Board.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities within the programme context.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior council and board officials.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience of delivering complex programmes and/or projects, ideally within regeneration, community development or public sector environments.
  • Experience of working in multi‑stakeholder environments involving governance structures and partnership arrangements.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an early‑stage, evolving project environment.
