We are looking for a compassionate and organized Bereavement Services Team Leader to support the smooth delivery of cemetery and bereavement services across East Suffolk. This varied role combines operational coordination with administrative oversight, ensuring services are delivered with professionalism, dignity and care. You will coordinate day‑to‑day activities on site, support burial and interment arrangements, and act as a key point of contact for families, funeral directors and other stakeholders. Working closely with the Bereavement Services Assistant Manager, you'll help maintain accurate records, uphold health and safety and compliance standards and ensure a high‑quality, sensitive service for our communities.

Responsibilities include:

What you will need:

You will bring experience working in a customer‑focused environment, including supporting individuals in sensitive or distressing circumstances. A confident communicator, you will build positive relationships with a wide range of people, demonstrating empathy, tact and professionalism at all times. You will be well organized, able to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records, with good IT skills across standard systems. Experience in bereavement or cemetery services, knowledge of relevant processes or regulations, and coordinating experience would be advantageous. You will either hold a bereavement management qualification or be willing to work towards one with our support.
