Job Title: Authorised Officers Location: Based at Felixstowe Port Health and Harwich Border Control Point Offices, Harwich international Port, Parkeston Quay, Harwich, Essex CO12 4SR Salary: £27,711 – £33,366 per annum (subject to qualifications, experience and competency) Job Type: Full time, Permanent Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Rotational shift pattern between 06:30 22:00, including weekends, attracting 14% shift allowance* Closing date: 1.00 pm, 17 January 2025 It is an exciting time to be joining our Port health team as we expand our services in response to the UKs departure from the European Union. Our mission is the protection of public and animal health, carrying out a range of checks to ensure imported goods are safe for all of us in the UK. Your role: As an Authorised Officer, you will protect public and animal health at the border by supporting Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority (SCPHA) in the undertaking and delivery of a range of statutory and discretionary services at Border Control Points (BCPs) where SCPHA have responsibility or contractual obligations.
