An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for the role of a Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator Band 7 at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust within the Biochemistry POCT department. This is a part-time position of 15 hours per week, with flexible working hours between Monday and Friday. The role covers Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals and involves working collaboratively with other POCT Coordinators.
As a POCT Coordinator, you will assist the POCT manager in running the team, including managing Associate Practitioners. Your primary focus will be on training and ensuring the quality of POCT devices for the trust. Knowledge of UKAS standards would be beneficial as the department works towards UKAS accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in POCT activities and management
- Coordinate daily team operations
- Drive service improvement initiatives

- Work flexibly to meet service needs, including participation in a 24/7 service if required
